Hello! Welcome to the new and improved Life Of Lex. I am SO excited to be launching my new site, I cannot even begin to tell you how many hours of emotion and hard work have been put into this relaunch. It all started from the thought, “I want to do more with my blog.” I was reminded of the original reason why I began my blogging journey in the first place. One simple reason: I want to inspire others.
I want to be someone that others can draw inspiration from, someone who’s genuine and real, someone who’s passionate, someone who brings light into this sometimes scary world. My blog is more than travel, fashion and photos. The thought of this relaunch absolutely terrified me, the ‘What if I fail? What if people don’t care? What if I don’t inspire anyone?’ kept me up at night. But then I decided to take a leap of faith and go for it. Because it’s not about impacting thousands of people, although this would be the ultimate dream, it’s about impacting one person. The person that might be having a hard day, the person that might be able to relate to me on some level, the person that might need a distraction. If I am able to impact just one soul for the better then I will have been successful.
‘THERE IS SOMETHING SO BEAUTIFUL ABOUT WATCHING A VISION COME TO LIFE BY WORKING WITH OTHERS TO INSPIRE PEOPLE.’ -Lex
Essentially I started my blog because I was unable to serve an LDS mission due to college loans and having cerebral palsy, I wasn’t able to go somewhere new and serve, but this didn’t mean I couldn’t serve right from home. My blog began and still continues to be an outlet for me to be an everyday missionary.
With this being said, not everyone is religious. And I think that’s okay, this is when I began to share my other passions. Personal struggles with healthcare, bits and pieces about my lifestyle, rants about dating, all the places I’ve traveled and my fashion sense. There is something so beautiful about watching a vision come to life by working with others to inspire people. And I’m here to do just that. Stay tuned for an announcement next week about a decision I’ve made that’s going to hopefully impact my life for the better.
