If you’re in search of a tropical paradise with bright blue waters Barbados is the place for you! It was one of the more relaxing trips that I have been on! Mainly because the days there consisted of pool time, beach time and food! Who doesn’t want that for a few days straight?
Jessa, Courtney and I flew to Barbados to be greeted with a sign at the airport! We felt so official. Our hotel had sent someone to escort us through the airport and help us arrive with ease to our resort. It was the coolest and easiest experience. We got our luggage and were off into the island. Our shuttle driver was great, telling us all about the history of each part of the island as we passed through. The homes and buildings were so colorful and fun! Something that I wasn’t expecting to see!
We stayed at Port Ferdinand and I would highly recommend that you stay there to! The staff was absolutely amazing, they were beyond helpful with any need we had! And the room we had was insane! My favorite part was the kitchen and balcony, watching sunrise and sunset with good food is essential! We went to the local market and picked up a few snacks that we could have for our down time in our room or late at night when we were hanging out on the balcony!
Another thing that I loved was the water taxi service that Port Ferdinand offered. It was so much fun going on a little boat ride and seeing turtles everywhere we went. They have a sister hotel called St. Peter’s Bay and we would take the water taxi over there some days for lunch and to use the pool! We basically got access to double the pools, double the beaches and double the fun! Both resorts offer so many different activities, they even have activities for the kiddos if you make it a family trip!
Food wise we had a few different options, a casual restaurant and a fancier restaurant. Two things stood out to me, the fruit smoothies and the bread. I couldn’t get enough of them! We ended up eating at the Gazebo which is located at their sister resort more than anywhere else!
The beaches were so gorgeous, it was always entertaining on the beach because there were little crabs we could watch as we were laying out and listening to the ocean! The resort offered chairs and towels along with umbrellas that were super nice to have!
We didn’t end up venturing out to other parts of the island aside from the couple of beaches we went to, it’s definitely something I will do next time. If you head to Barbados I want to hear all about it!
