Last weeks post was a little heavy so I figured I’d lighten it up a bit and talk about the Museum Of Ice Cream! Everyone always asks me how I got tickets, so I’m here to spill the deets! And of course show you each room that was there!
Tips on how to get tickets to a Museum Of Ice Cream:
- Subscribe to their email list! When I initially went to get tickets they were all sold out with zero open dates. I was super bummed. But when I subscribed I got an email about an extension for the LA location and when tickets would be on sale. I’ve also received emails about other locations as well. It’s a good way to stay on top of when tickets will be on sale!
- Turn notifications on for the Museum Of Ice Cream Instagram and Facebook page.
- If you know tickets are going to be on sale, be at your computer 10 mins early, be on the website, have an ideal date in mind and have your wallet ready.
- When they officially go on sale check out as quickly as possible while triple checking your information is correct.
Tips for when you go to the Museum Of Ice Cream:
- You are allowed to bring multiple outfits, but it’s going to be crowded and the staff may get annoyed with you if you are heading back and forth between the rooms and the bathroom. I just brought one outfit and did my best to pick something that would look good with a variety of colors.
- You can bring a DSLR camera.
- If you go during a night time slot, the lighting won’t be great.
- They allow you to stay in each room as long as you want, so don’t feel rushed, enjoy the exhibit.
- The popsicle room actually smells like popsicles.
- The wallpaper by the banana swings is scratch and sniff.
- You will get ice cream!
I absolutely loved the experience of going to the Museum Of Ice Cream, I went with one of my best friends Melissa, we went to the LA location and I hope at some point we’ll get  to go to another location as well. Of course we wanted to go for the photos but it ended up meaning so much more than that. It was really cool to see and analyze the art, perspective and effort that went into producing each room throughout the museum. There were so many different details and fun facts placed throughout each room and it was nice to learn and be able to appreciate everything that went into creating something so magical! If you have the chance to go and you like ice cream, go, I promise you won’t regret it!
