Okay I am both excited and nervous about todays post! I have been wanting to plan a brunch for over a year and I have finally decided to pull the trigger and do it. One of my new years resolutions is to create stronger and more meaningful relationships and friendships, what better way to do that than to host a brunch?! This one’s for the girls, I’ll probably do one for girls and guys later on, but for now I want to focus on the ladies!
It’s also the perfect opportunity for me to tackle a blog topic I’ve had on my list for a while now: Why having a girl gang is so important!
I’m going to be honest these last few months have been ROUGH, in all aspects of my life and to be honest I wouldn’t be where I am now without some of my close girlfriends! There’s something so special about having a group of girls that you know you can turn to with anything. Especially in a world where comparison is all too real and girls aren’t getting any nicer-for the most part.
I’m going to be real, most times I do not get along with girls very well. But that’s changed over the last few years and I’ve come to realize just how important having a good girlfriend is! There are so many different reasons! I think the most significant one I discovered is simply having a friend that can relate to you. Sometimes your girlfriends just ‘get it’ and it’s so nice being able to talk to someone that ‘gets it’. Plus you can never have too many friends. I feel like a lot of times in life people get busy and friendships dwindle, sadly it happens all too often, this is a big reason why I made the new years resolution that I did, I want to prevent that from happening as much as I can! Another reason why I think it’s so important to have a good group of girlfriends is because of the amount of support that is available! Having a friend that can cheer you on in life, following your dreams, dating, girly things is the best! Even better when you gain a partner in crime!
The world of social media can become so exhausting sometimes but it can also be an amazing avenue to build friendships and connections! That’s why I wanted to host a brunch in the first place, I want it to be an inclusive event! You don’t have to be a blogger, model or photographer to come! I want EVERYONE to come and feel welcome! If we’ve met and are friends, if we haven’t met and only know each other through social media, come!!! I want to meet all of you and be inspired by each of you!!!
I know that it will be on February 9th at 10:30am! Location is TBD because it depends on how many people RSVP but I do know it will be close to Draper/Lehi area!!! There will be goodie bags and new friends!
This is a lot of notice but I want to plan it out and am super anxious and excited about it!!!
