5 Ways To Attain Your Goals-Even with a crazy busy schedule!

Goals, let’s talk about them! A while back I made some goals and posted them on my instagram so that I could be held a little more accountable and guess WHAT I reached almost all of the monthly goals I set for myself! A lot of people asked me to share my process so that’s why I decided to do this blog post!

Let’s start with a little background, I work 60-80+ hour weeks most weeks, I’ve done this for over 2 years now and if I can still accomplish my goals, I know you can too! I hadn’t been great at keeping up on my goals last year because I was mainly focusing on one major goal for the last while, but December came around and I got motivated again! I made a list of 11 goals and accomplished 10!!! All while working a crazy busy schedule! Keep reading to see my tips on how you can do this as well! 5 tips to create & attain your goals:

Take The Time To Sit & Think Out Your Goals!

Set aside some time to think about what you want your goals to be! They can be big or small, but it’s very important that you are taking the time to think them out and sit with them for a second. If you create your goals mindlessly then you will be less motivated to accomplish them! If you are having a hard time coming up with some goals, ask yourself these questions: What am I wanting my goals to be? What am I wanting to accomplish? What’s something I’ve wanted to work on but haven’t yet? Is this goal going to be easy or hard to accomplish? Why is that? What is a goal that is realistic for me? What is a goal that will challenge me? Are these goals going to help me grow?

Force Yourself To Get Organized!

Regardless of if you are working 60+ hour weeks or not, when attaining your goals you need to be organized about it. Trust me, if anyone hates that sentence, its me…if you genuinely know me you know that I have a very spontaneous soul BUT I would never be able to reach any of my goals if I didn’t stay insanely organized. It keeps me on track and helps me to actually be able to get them done!

Here a few ideas if you need help in the organization department:

-Create a list in your phone, on your computer, in your journal or all three! OR let me know if you’d like a cute template and I will send one to you! Check them off as you go!

-Put daily or weekly reminders on your phone. This will help you remember your goals throughout the day/week!

-Set aside time in your calendar if you need to! For example I wanted to do skincare daily so not only did I have a reminder in my phone but I also added 15 mins on my calendar each day for it as well!

Find What Motivates You!

Create goals that motivate you in some way! It can be as simple as being motivated to create a new habit for yourself or as big as being able to finally check that major goal off your list. No matter what it is, make sure you are motivated about it. If it doesn’t spark something in you find a different goal for your list! If you need help when it comes to being held accountable, post your goals on social media or tell a few friends or family members about your goals and update them on your progress! By telling others about your goals it will help keep you accountable and motivate you to accomplish them!

Believe In Yourself!

Okay this one is easier said than done sometimes, especially if you are creating a lot of goals but know this…Attitude is everything! We have to be better at believing in ourselves! It can be hard to not think “how in the heck am I going to do this? There is no way? I’ve never been goal oriented..” BUT If you choose to believe you can accomplish the goals you’ve set then you will! If you believe in yourself enough then you will find the motivation to work on them! Even if you don’t end up attaining all of your goals that is OKAY! The simple fact that you are choosing to believe in yourself is enough! The mind is a very powerful thing and as you start to check off your goals as “completed” it will get easier to believe in yourself even more than you did when you started! You. Can. Do. This. I believe in you! Please, if you ever need a pep talk or a hype man when it comes to your goals don’t hesitate to reach out to me!

Start Small!

Oh man! When I first made my list it was somewhat intimidating because it felt like a lot to accomplish in just 4 short weeks. But then I remembered that I know how to do this and I’ve been checking off my goals for over two years now! Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t always that way!! When I first started really trying to attain certain goals for myself I started super small. Literally working on one goal at a time, and then two, then three and eventually worked my way up to working on multiple goals simultaneously. Getting to that point took me years of practice! And sometimes I don’t go big all the time, sometimes I need a break and so I will create smaller goals or a smaller list of goals and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. We start where we can and progress from there! You’d get burned out if you tried doing a marathon before ever running before! So don’t run at first, take your time and walk if need be! Start small and build your way up! By starting small it will help you attain goals and gain more confidence in your ability to do so! Which means when it comes time to set and accomplish bigger goals they won’t seem as scary!

I’m no expert, but I do know a thing or two about smashing some goals!
