5 date ideas for during COVID!

Disclaimer: I haven’t tried out all of these suggestions-yet, but I do think they’d be fun!

  • Facetime Dates!

-I have been utilizing phone calls and FaceTime more than I did beforehand-I’m somewhat old school and already loved phone calls and FaceTime before all of this COVID stuff. Not only does it give you a chance to make sure someone has conversational skills, but it gives you the chance to get to know them before you head on a date. I know that when I can be on a call with someone for a while, fully enjoying it the entire time, that a date in person-whenever that might be will be that much better. Plus talking beforehand helps you to become more excited for an in person date!

  • Social Distanced Lunch or Dinner at the park.

-If you do feel comfortable meeting up in person, grab take out and meet up at the park for dinner! It’s actually a lot of fun-I’ve done this once & even though we weren’t sitting on the same blanket or sitting super close to one another it worked! He was such a gentleman and venmo’d me beforehand so I didn’t have to pay for my own food-which I was not expecting! It was nice to be able to get outside and meet up in person even though it wasn’t a typical first date activity it was still a lot of fun!

  • Drop off a treat & watch a movie together over FaceTime or Zoom.

-Not sure how this one would turn out but I think it’d be fun. Drop a small treat off at each others houses around the same time (keep the treat you’re bringing a suprise), head back home & then jump on Zoom or FaceTime, watch a show together & enjoy your treats!

  • Bike Ride at a distance

-Grab a couple of bikes and go on a bike ride, on a trail or at a park! It’s an activity that you can still be together while simultaneously being at a distance.

  • Get creative!

-I’ll be the first to say that attempting to date in the world right now is somewhat odd. We’ve got to come up with other ways to communicate and activities to do that won’t put you at risk. Find ways to connect that are little more old school, have in depth conversations, think outside of the box. Head to your favorite view and FaceTime each other from the spot you chose, make a meal together via zoom, get creative with it!
